Our Annual Home and Garden Tour - Come and Visit

Showcase Manchester 2025 - August 03, 2025 - 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM

The tour committee has been working overtime to bring you our best home and garden tour yet, and we are less than 1 week away from Showcase Manchester 2025 on Sunday, August 3, 2025 from 11 AM to 4 PM. We have secured beautiful homes and gardens, local food and ice cream trucks, and for this year, something brand new (please read on).

Since 1996, Manchester Historic Society has been encouraging the retention and restoration of the housing stock in Manchester.  One of Pittsburgh’s earliest and most important neighborhoods, Manchester went through a period of urban decay in the 1970s even as it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975 and designated a City Historic District in 1979.

Since 1987, Manchester Craftsman Guild (MCG) Jazz has presented almost 2,000 concerts and offered one of the longest running and most prestigious jazz subscription series in America.  Through performances, education and production in their music hall and studios in the Chateau neighborhood, MCG Jazz has become one of the cultural backbones of the Pittsburgh region.

Jazz Music Brought To You By MCG Jazz

This year for the first time, Manchester Historic Society and MCG Jazz have partnered to make the Annual Showcase Manchester, Home and Garden Tour a truly swinging event. On Sunday, August 3, three hand-chosen jazz groups will perform at three different homes along the Home and Garden Tour route.  In addition to entering homes that have been restored to their early 20th Century elegance—when Manchester and Allegheny City had more millionaires per capita than anywhere in the world—tour-goers will be treated to America’s original musical art form played by stellar jazz musicians from across Pittsburgh.  Seating will be provided at each musical stop so that tour-goers can enjoy the music, homes and gardens.

Showcase Manchester Home and Garden Tour is on Sunday, August 3, 2025. Tickets will be sold at 1213 Liverpool Street, Pittsburgh, Pa 15233 from 11am to 3pm at the full price of $30 / ticket. This is the official starting location for the tour.
